It's funny to be in a movie

Dear Diary,

It was funny, you know? Today was just really funny. Whenever anyone asks me how my day went I always reply in the same manner, "Nothing special." Because honestly nothing special. And I can say the same thing for today.

"Nothing Special"

But the thing is that there are sometimes moments in my day that make it distinct from all the other days.

I had a conversation with Jennifer Pittenger today. A conversation held in my silly debate classroom with no work and a subsitutute teacher. And even when we have our real teacher around, Mr. Hammer, we still do no work. Anyways, I most often than naught spy her sitting along the window sill with her feet crossed over one another lightly placed on the top of a desk. I came over today with my Upside-down-7-Up and Crunchy Twix bar and sat beside her as she was twirling the blinds string and moving them up and down the window glass. I sat there for a moment before I said hello in a movie sort of way. And she looked up from the english-class book she was reading and smiled. Very friendly.

We always end up having conversations so profound and simple at exactly the same time. It's not intense at all. Just of meaning. It's profound and intense enough to be compared with the deep conversations I've had with my syblings, Jess, and Jace. But speaking with her is always just a tad bit different...something special. It always feels like so...movie. And it's funny, you know? Because we talk about that kind of stuff...what you see in semi-dramatic scenes on t.v. ::smile, shakes head:: We're just a semi-dramatic, simple movie scene constantly in motion. And it's funny because I notice things when I'm around her and I can say them outloud and she understands and doesn't wonder what's wrong with me when I say movie scenes.

It's nice to have a friend that I can talk to like in the movies. We always talk about reality but we're stuck in a movie. It's funny. Really funny.

With care,
Mayms
