ndslotesse's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Photography Dear Diary, I have decieded to take up photography to keep my mind of things. Well, actually, I've thought about taking it up a while ago along with painting. But today I got an extra-push... Thank God. Last night as I was watching T.V and saying good night to my parents, I told my mom I wanted to start Lacrosse and that I was regretful that I had not gone to camp, to learn girls lax. And then I boldly told her that I wanted to paint, she looks at me as she walks up the stairs and says 'how about photograpy?' and I say 'why not both?'. End of conversation. My parents woke me early today to say that they were going out for breakfast and if I wanted to come. I asked when and they said 'now' so I rolled over and mumbled a 'no' because I was too sleepy. It felt so damn early, I'm suprise it wasn't dark outside. But off they went to get some breakfast while I lay there stuffing my head under a pillow to catch some 'Z's. A few hours later (11:30) I heard the garage opening and quickly took a look at the clock and tried to wake myself up because I know for a fact that my parents would be angry if I was still sleeping. So there I lay, on the couch, pretending to be awake watching some cartoons. My mom walks in and I say my greetings, she says she has a surprise for me. Still drowzy from sleep, I was a bit taken back (in a good way), but my actions showed none of this expression, I just lay there staring at the t.v. She comes comes over and brings a large gift bag that seemed heavy and the contents seemed like they were going to rip through the bottom. But there I sat, infront of the T.V, indifferent. She presents it to me, and the first words that escape my mouth are 'Books?' and she looks at me kind of hurt-ish and kindly says 'no' and that I should be a little more enthusiastic (or however you spell it). So again, I look up at her and say with a forced happy smile 'Books?' she smiles again and she just says open it when daddy comes. A few moments later Daddy comes and asks if I had opened it yet. I say 'no' and he sits beside me as I take the obnoxiously large gift and open it. It's a plastic bag. Right. But what caught my eye was the equipment incased in the bag. A Digital Camera. Fully loaded, nice. Bought some extra accesorries (or however you spell it) like: a bag, some more memory, a hook-y up thing. Fun. I look up and stared at my parents then back down at my present for no special occasion. Expensive, over $400? Wow. "Thanks" It's just for me, (well of course my brother and sister are going to borrow it and use it), it's just mine though. All for me. My title. To take pictures, to start up photograpy. Daddy: 'Cause some people have the eye, and you might have it.' Thanks. Beautiful, spent all day learning how to work it. I'm not very good, but I'll learn. Flowers, are beautiful. I've got an eye for those. With care, 8:17 p.m. - 2002-07-22 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
