ndslotesse's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music For My Soul Dear Diary, I'm having this huge fetish with music right now. My computer is going to crash with all the memory from the songs I've downloaded. I'm in love with music right, it's my hugest passion right now. I've always been attracted by the way music sounds. When I was younger, I only listened to Rap and R&B (Philly Music) I was pretty bi-ased against all others but it's different now (since I'm a different person). I listen to everything. I can listen to anything that appeals to my ears. Personally, I *only* use to listen to music that sounded good. I always have a favorite part in a song (hehe). I can listen to Rap and R&B to Country to Hard Rock to Metal to Alternative to Classical. Usually as long as the song sounded great, I would listen to it. I like songs that most people haven't listen to and barely have heard of. But I still listen to songs like Jay Lo's "I'm gonna be all right" but I also listen to Utada Hikaru "Automatic Flowers" (she's a japanese artist). I mean I've very diverse in my music listening. Lately though, it seems that music is always on my mind...mostly their lyrics. I did listen to lyrics before...don't get me wrong, it's just what allured me to a song was it's sound. But now, I notice myself picking out the lyrics and the meaning behind the song. I usually don't do that unless the words really stick out. Thanks Scott. I think he's done it. I think that boy that I've fallen head over heels for has done this to me. Makes me really listen to things for what they are, and makes me give second chances. I really like him. A lot. I can't get my mind off of him and he's usually what I think a bout when I'm listening to some song. Because he makes me realize that there are more to songs than just their 'sound' there are meaning, and words there too. There are truely somethings worth listening to. I've known this for a while, that there where always meanings and the lyrics to some songs were great, but he really brings the best out of me. He really makes me want to *listen* to *every* song and see what the true connotation is. Thanks Scott.
